What a great attitude you have! I love your observation that life is for the living... I need to remind myself of that more often when I get caught up in my web of worries on occasion.

Mark... I'm not sure why photos won't upload now since the new site turnover, but you might explain how to find your boat in your profile gallery. She is a beauty!!!

Best wishes... Catherine

Thanks for your feed back Mark and Mike.
It helps being able to share your thoughts at this difficult time.
Keeping positive is certainly the way to go.
I have spent the last 30 years supporting others with difficult problems in my job as a community mental health nurse, now it's time to follow my own advice.
I am very lucky to have the support of family ,friends and work colleagues.
The best advice I can give tonothers is to keep looking forward, set your self goals to work to and don't be scared to talk. (Especially the men as we are not always good at talking or taking advice!)

Now that,s the way to do it.

I kind of went into depression at first, but then realized that I have a low grade of cancer and I could be sitting around feeling sorry for myself along time.

I did what you did. I posted on this forum and asked a few questions, got to know some of the people, then took back control of my life. It is something that can't always be done on your own. But everyone on this site is truly here to help.

I bought an old boat with the money I saved from not smoking. Now I am fixing it up. It gives me some satisfaction to see something rotting away being re-built and made strong and beautiful again.

In away its like us. Its not in good shape now, but with a little help and some dedication, the boat and I will once again shine.

You keep up the positive attitude. You will find its contagious. The more you try to make others feel good, the more you will feel better also.

Welcome to our group. And glad to meet you.

Mark
