Welcome to the forum. The healing time depends on where the tumor(s) were and how many they were. Did you have a catheter after the surgery? Doug's recovery after TURBs has varied. He has felt okay to go back to work within 2 weeks (sitting at a desk). He has felt worse longer the 2 times that he had to have a catheter after the surgery. I just asked him and he said that it takes about a month for the bladder to feel "normal".
Best wishes to you as you heal. The pyridium does help to calm the bladder.
hello, i just had my turbt done on the 15th, now waiting for my report, which i go to urologist on the 10th of october, went to oncologist yesterday and he has a PET scan scheduled for thursday,,, not sure about anything but that it was a type of bladder cancer,, dr felt very happy with percedure,, hoping for the best,,, but im really scared because i had non hodgkens lymphoma large b cell in 08,, beat that, I knew tumor was there but not that it was cancer, so if you have any symptoms... dont wait ,, get checked,, so ive had this for a year, not that it grew much , it was only 12mm so hoping for the best,, any ifo of what to expect,, and how long does it take for my bladder to ge back to normal kinda,,,? thanks,,,
