Thanks for the response . My buddy has a great attitude and lots of family support I know he will do fine .
Today is one of those just really blah days ,kind of overwhelmed and trying not to even think about it all at the moment ,my brain needs a break. Now Im worried about the lung procedure ,as with all this stuff several risks involved .Wonder if anyone on here has had that procedure would be nice to hear from someone thats done that just for info. Gonna do some laundry and try to give my head a break from just dwelling on the whole deal. Doug

Doug,

So sorry to hear about your friend! Hope all goes well with him and that you are able to somehow get there to be with him and help out in any way you can.

On the lungs, let's just hang on until we know more. I know it's hard not to jump to conclusions, especially with the way things have been going recently, but until you know more...you just don't really know yet.

You have a enough on your plate (as you indicated), so other than getting tested, try to focus on the other things you need you to. One foot in front of the other (as they say). Just you are "they" anyway. They certainly come up with some good sayings. :)

Most hospitals will let you fax a signed release giving permission for someone else to pick up your records. You really should have those. They can usually do it via email if you don't have fax capability. You will need a printer and scanner though if you try to do it via email.

I hope you are able to take care of transportation and other needs while your friend recovers. Certainly is not going to be an easy recovery for him!

Hoping for the best on ALL fronts! Hang in there buddy!

Mike

I wont be able to do anything now till monday as the hospital where it was done is 35 miles away and Im not confident enough yet to try that much of a drive alone .I have a cousin that lives where the hospital is I wonder if he could get them for me ? It does seem to me I should have gotten more info than I did. But this is all new to me and trying to figure it all out by myself is a little hard. I think the lung xrays are probably correct as I have had xrays before and they were clear. It sure doesnt seem to get any easier as this thing go's on, and looks like it will get harder and more confusing . Just keep getting advice off here and try to figure it out . I have next week to find answers before the lung biopsy . What a mess. Doug

Grey...those pathology reports are yours. Just call the hospital where the TURB was done and tell them you're coming in to pick them up. You just have to sign for them. You really need to know what you're dealing with especially since he mentioned surgery.
Have you ever had an x-ray of yourlungs? Why i ask is i have an old scar that gets picked up every time and they think its something it isn't. Its just an old scar. So try to remember if you have had it done and get a copy to see if anything has actually changed.
Good luck to your friend.
