Hang in there. I was diagnosed in 2005, tumors removed, a couple of small recurrences, had treatments and have been cancer free over 3 years now. You are at the right place. Very knowledgeable bladder cancer survivors here. They helped me get through it all.
I wish you all the best,
Jack

a7wood, stay strong and keep a positive mindset! You can do this and know that we are all here to help you in anyway we can! I have found having the support of this forum has been so helpful. The people here have "been there and done all of that" so they know what you are going through. As a caregiver I can only imagine but know we also go through a lot of pain with those we love! Take care and do let us know how you are doing!

I was informed that my surgery will be Tuesday Feb. 1st. I guess it will be in the morning. I have several appointments this week with the hospital and others. I guess to be sure I am fit for the operation. The urologist said he was going to remove all the tumor that is there. Then I guess the real waiting begins, to wait for the lab test on the tumor come in. Since I was told on Jan 13th I have lost over 20 pounds. Great diet program but I don't recommend it. Thank you all for your kind words and support. I will keep you informed of any progress or regress. Thank you all.

A year ago today I had sugery (TURBT) to remove a bladder mass my gyno found, so I understand all the emotions you are dealing with, as does everyone here. I wish someone had told me to stop reading everything I could find on bladder cancer because it truly scares the daylights out of you. When your pathology comes back, then you can educate yourself on what actually applies to your particular situation. I didn't find this site until several months later and Pat immediately told me to forget all those negative statistics I had read about. So I did... (lol)

I hope you get the best possible outcome on your path report. And, hang out here because these folks are the best cheerleading squad I have ever encountered! (and the best informed!)

Best wishes... Catherine
