sorry to hear that news Eileen. Since you dodged the bullet l0 yrs ago..what type lung cancer was it? Is it a return of the original or is this an extension of the bladder cancer to the lungs? Will you be consulting with a thoracic surgeon just in case? I just want you to be on the right chemo.

Hi all

I will not be having surgery as my bladder cancer has spread outside the bladder :( . I also have nodules in my lungs. So it is on to chemo for me.

I dodged a bullet ten years ago with lung cancer so I guess it was borrowed time.

Thank you all for your support

Yes my doc did a quick pelvic the other day and when he pressed on my bladder it really hurt--so something is still going on. Either tumor is left in there or just sore from TURBT.

Getting MRI and Cat scan of chest (because I had Lung Cancer 10 years ago)on Saturday --then we will go from there.

One step at a time for me--

Thanks everyone for their support

That's why the ct scan isn't enough. There really needs to be cystoscopy to get a good look.

Age 54
10/31/06 dx CIS (TisG3) non-invasive (at 47)
9/19/08 TURB/TUIP dx Invasive T2G3
10/8/08 RC neobladder(at 49)
2/15/13 T4G3N3M1 distant metastases(at 53)
9/2013 finished chemo -cancer free again
1/2014 ct scan results....distant mets
2/2014 ct result...spread to liver, kidneys, and lymph...
