Eileen, why not have another pathologist look at the lung nodules? and the path slides. MSK is right there...wouldn't hurt since there seems to be some question about it.

Hello Eileen... It's a scary road for sure, but definitely not doom and gloom as you have learned more about your situation. You are at a wonderful facility with great doctors looking after you. I'm very happy to hear that your office is supporting you through this by letting you work from home as needed. And, we're all pulling for you every step of the way!

Best wishes... Catherine

Hi everyone

Well I start Chemo on Tuesday at NYU cancer center. One Pathologist did not see a spread outside of the bladder wall and disagreed with the others. However, my onc looked at the slides and think it also did. The nodules in my lungs is anyones guess--they are way to small to biopsy--could be cancer but maybe not. So maybe I will get to have the operation after all.

The ONC even want the tissue from my lung cancer from 10 years ago!

Of course my surgeon's assistant forgot to send the records so i had to wait a bit---they are both NYU though so can easily access.

I am going to try and work through this as my office will let me telecommute on the days I do not feel good. Plus the center is only a few blocks from my office.

So all is not doom and gloom right now

thanks to all!

"spread" is certainly a word we don't like to hear. It is my sincere hope that we watch for it to be slowed, then stopped, then eliminated as a hazard. We are with you in the battle.
