OR..call the hospital pathology dept and ask to pick up the reports. Just sign for them. Lot faster.
Top Uros in the Phili area...if you read their bio's you'll see their specialties.
www.castleconnolly.com/doctors/results.cfm
just type in city and state and specialty which is Urology
and you'll get the list.

I had to have two prostate biopsies. They told me over the phone for those. Both were negative.

Both times I had bladder cancer, he told me over the phone on the pathology reports.

If you want them to they usually will but all doctors are different.

Since I had my prostate biopsy done almost two weeks ago I could call and find out the results. Wondering if they (office or doctor) will tell me over the phone.

Jerry,

It sounds like your Urologist has taken very good care of you so far. Going to someone who's main area of expertise is bladder cancer is a very good idea at this point your strategy has to be to stack the cards in your favor. I would not do a lot of research until you know what you are researching for. Bladder cancer can vary from almost a nuance to life threatening. I feel the hair go up on the back of my neck when someone says it is the cancer to get. It has to be given respect but it can be beat and if it it what you are dealing with no matter what your journey is we will help you find the right questions to ask your doctors as best we know how.

Three quarters of bladder cancers are found while non muscle invasive and if invasive like mine was six years ago with proper care it can be beaten. For non muscle invasive bladder cancer the key is to respect it and keep a close eye on it and treat it properly if it comes back. Once you have your TURB you will know more but until you have your pathology report don't scare yourself with what ifs.

It is not uncommon to become almost paranoid about aches and pains following a diagnosis of cancer. Many go on anti anxiety drugs or even require antidepressants for a while at this point. Most of us shake ourselves to death until we know what we are dealing with. Once we know we can focus on what we need to do with our individual situation and it is case by case. I know it is very hard but try not to as my husband grandmother said "buy trouble and pay interest on it".

Has anyone suggested yet to do CT scans or other tests?

I am sorry you are here but welcome
