First, I am sorry to hear about this but, a lot of hope on this disease! There are a number of people that will catch this in the next day or so that have a great wealth of docs and institutions far beyond me so check back. Also, do you have a stage and grade reading of the tumor? Read further on this site also about invasive and non-invasive involvement of cancer in the bladder. Has your doc done a TURB-transuretal resection or surgery to remove and do a biopsy of the tissue (sounds like he has)? These are questions some will ask as they ponder what institution and doc to see. Please stick around or check back in the next day. One of my admired guru's I am sure will respond!

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Hi everyone, I'm helping my sister out. She was diagnosis with squamous cell bladder cancer in July. She is to see a Dr. Christopher P. Evans who is connected with UC Davis tomorrow to discuss the next steps she will need to take. She will be seeing this specialist tomorrow. Her previous urologist told her the cancer she has will probably necessitate the removal of her bladder, uterus, ovaries, tubes etc.. She has also been told she will have some lymph nodes removed to see if the cancer has advanced beyond the bladder.

First, she is not sure what type of questions she should ask, second has anyone on the forum heard of this doctor?

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
