I do not want to imply that this hematuria could be innoccuos (I can't seem to spell it LOL at myself). I actually know 2 people that have had microscopic hematuria off and on for years and no known causes! That being said, Mike is 100% correct. You need to have a cystoscope and probably a CT scan reading the kidneys, bladder and prostate. Those both usually go hand in hand to try and determine the cause. Also, as Mike said, I add "run to your urologist". This disease is treatable is handled early.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Definitely see a urologist - everything Mike said is right on the money. Don't wait - do it now!! Bladder cancer responds very well to treatment if caught early.

Could be benign tumors also. Go to a urologist. Can't imagine why your doctor hasn't already sent you to one.

Call your doctor, insist on a referral to a urologist.
He/she should do a cystoscopic exam (look in there) to see if anything can be seen.

Until he/she determines you have cancer, you don't. Let's not get ahead of ourselves right yet.

HOWEVER, the symptoms are worthy of concern and you should be seen by a urologist post haste! That means like this week!

Let us know what the urologist says.
