Here is the ranking information for UPMC: US News and World Report: UPMC Presb

Pat already listed (above in this thread) the doctor you mentioned in your post. Maybe she can give you more details on his background.

We are new as well. On or about May 6th my husband was officially diagnosed with BC. Since that time I have been reading everything I could get my hands on. You need to do the same. One doc recently told us we were reading too much and needed to stop. We knew immediately he was not going to be our choice for physicians. Also, people here like Mike and Pat will guide you through this all. They did for us. Heed their advice, they have spent years researching BC and are very willing to help with your questions.
Wishing you the very best.

Hi Bpoe
I was dx with TA low grade, with 2 recurrences, and several BCG treatments. These fine people here convinced me to get a 2nd opinion at a top cancer hospital with a Uro that specializes in bladder cancer. He happenned to agree with my local Uro with the treatment plan and path reports.
It was the best thing I could ever have done, as my mind was put at ease, knowing my local Uro was correct, made sleeping a lot easier.
The advice you are getting is 1st rate, understand that bladder cancer dx needs to at least be reviewed by a top cancer hospital that has Uro's that specialize in this disease.
Getting a copy of your path report is critical, so you can be proactive in your treatment plan.
I wish you all the best,
Jack

TA Grade 1
3 Turbts
30 BCG Treatments
Cancer Free since Nov 2007
