I would like to say "ditto" to all of the above (except for employer, as I am retired) and to add:
For my husband for being my biggest support "shoulder"
Thankful for my Healthcare Insurance
esp - allowing me to all the 2,3,4, opinions I wanted.
My grandchildren for giving me that extra push, when I feel somewhat defeated.
For all the friends on this web site who understand just how I feel at times - good times and "feeling bad for myself" times :P
And all the wonderful information brought to this site from very informed minds!

I am sure there are a lot more, I guess the most thankful is for the 2 years with no re-occurance.of CIS..........yet :S

Yes, what a lovely idea, and surely worth doing...
am thankful for so very much...ditto on what has already been said...plus being able to choose, to have options in regard to where I would receive medical treatment, thankful for the fact that I had three divesions to consider; thankful that I was able to get the one I wanted, the Indy, and thankful for the lovely stoma I have, fondly named "Rosebud"; thankful that my colon and most all other areas of the bod are functioning well enough for me to continue working. Thankful for my faith in God and being blessed to live in America, land that I love. :)

I won't repeat what you already put even though they apply for me as well...

Thankful for:

..this site and all the people here that share information and gave me guidance (helped me tremendously).

..the consulting firm I work for that was (to a person) so supportive when I had to be out for my RC surgery and recovery time.

..the doctors, nurses, CNAs, radiologists, technicians, nutritionists, and hospital cleaning people at UCH where I had biopsies and later my RC surgery. (Not so thankful for that phlebotomist who came in at 5 something in the morning, every morning to draw blood after I finally got to sleep).

..being cancer free.

..my insurance company that paid the bills. :)

As a newly diagnosed patient I have been going through all kinds of emotions over this. My latest was my very own pity party. I ended (maybe just put on hold) my pity party as I thought about the holidays coming up and that I should be thankful to be able to enjoy these. Therefore, I started my own list of things to be thankful for in my life right now even though I have one and may find I have 2 kinds of cancer.

Thought it would be good for the soul if we made a list and just kept adding to this since many will think of things that others didn't.

Mine started with:
I'm thankful for:
Family that loves and supports me
Friends that I can count on whenever I need them

May seem corny to some of you??? but it sure helped me
