What a mess! I'm sorry to hear you've been suffering for so long without a diagnosis. Are you seeing an expert urologist? Have you ever had a cystoscopy? I think you should. I can't begin to guess what might be going on, and the chance is big that it's NOT bladder cancer. Still, a cystoscopy could tell you a bit more.

If I were you I'd go to the best doctor I could find and demand a diagnosis.
Good luck with things,
Wendy

oh I should also note that I get periods of nausea as well.. especially in the mornings. the nausea seems to come on when i dont get the feeling to urinate and goes away when i get bouts where i urinate frequently.

Hey guys, thanks to all of you who are taking the time to read this and help. I am 25 years old which I know is pretty young for bladder cancer. There hasn't been any bladder cancer in my family history as well. For about 6 years now I've had burning while I urinate which might be related.. not sure. This summer I woke up one day with bad pain in my bladder, kidneys and blood in my urine. The pain in my bladder went away, but the pain in my kidneys and the blood continued every day for 3 months. They did an ultrasound (which I heard isn't a good way to detect BC) and they found what they believe to be crystals or stones in my kidneys. My bladder looked fine but the post-void residual was 88cc's which my doc said means my bladder doesn't empty quite as normally as it should for someone my age. Every day since this all started there has been microscopic blood in my urine because I have dipsticks and check it myself. About a month and a half ago I developed throbbing pain in my bladder that comes and goes. I'll have a week where it feels fine and then the next week it will hurt.. especially when and after I urinate and the pain will go back and forth like that. I also notice that sometimes my urine is very cloudy and has a bunch of stringy looking particles in it. I also get periods where I have to urinate frequently and periods where I feel like I don't have to go at all. I've been checked many times for infection (blood, urine tests) and it's always clear. I'm worried this is bladder cancer and seeing as how quite a few of you guys have had it maybe you could tell me if it sounds like that's what it is. My doctors haven't been on top of it and they don't seem too concerned because of my age. Thank you
