Ok well i had the cstyo, not fun at all.
Luckily it was over in about 2 minutes.

So they found nothing in the bladder. have to go back in 6 months for a follow up.

So thank you all and good luck to the rest of you.

I had the urogram in around 1/12 and about a week later the urologist called and said they want to do a cysto. This immediately freaked me out becuase I thought that they must have found something and they wanted to investigate further, the Urologists office had no idea and said that it was routine and I shouldn't worry about it.

The CT Urogram is a good test, but it can't see everything that a cystoscopy sees. It cant' show flat tumors like CIS, and small tumors may not be visible. The cystoscopy is just as important to definitively rule out cancer as it is to find it early and treat it before ti becomes a problem. Even though tests make patients nervous, one must always rule out the worst case scenario - in this case bladder cancer. You could never be truly at peace without knowing for sure that you don't have cancer, and if you do, it's best to find it now rather than later.
All of us have been scared before our diagnosis, and we have the pleasure of being scared again at follow ups because we worry about recurrences - but there is life after cancer. I'm 7 years out with a high grade cancer and have never had a recurrence.
You may have nothing, so try to stay clam. If you have something, you'll be treated, and we'll all be here to help you deal with it.

No matter what anyone here tells you, you're going to be very anxious until you get a definitive diagnosis.

That being said, I think--and hope--that it's an infection or you've been working out too hard or a kidney stone.

Please do report back. We were all in a state of shock like you are now.. some of us not too very long ago.

Thank you for the offer.

I will wait and see what the diagnoses is first, so I'm not wasting anyones time.
Cysto is tomorrow.
