At the risk of answering as a man that has had BC but, not a cystectomy I am proposing you have simply over done the exercise. I have had a triple bypass and was told to let my body dictate how far to go (even with a schedule) and these are not "push" the envelope re-habs when they are major surgeries.

I would certainly let your surgeon know where you are at and maybe back off some on the laps for a few days. That said, walking is very good for recovery.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

I am almost 5 weeks out from surgery and am experiencing pain in my pelvic area which is causing difficulty walking. I had a hysterectomy and an Indiana pouch bladder put in. This past Wednesday I had a scan to make sure everything was flowing accordingly and I am not sure if it is bc of the bottomless chair I had to sit in or the 28 laps I did around my house Friday. I have since tapered off from so many laps as to not aggravate my pelvic pain. I was diagnosed in January with cancer in my urethra at 35. This has been a journey. I did two rounds of chemo and 30 rounds of radiation and I won’t say they were light doses. If anyone has experienced this and has any suggestions I am open. If I could walk normal I would be doing great.
