I was diagnosed in February 2017 with stage 4 BC that went to the lymph nodes. I am 58 and in generally good health. Complete hysterectomy in '99. Been through rounds of chemo with success and now facing RC August 30 and have opted to have an ostomy bag to minimize future complications.
Here's why I am asking questions. I am single, but have a male companion and enjoy his company in many ways. So ladies, if you had RC, how did it effect your vaginal area and general response? If you have an ostomy bag, how did you handle that when getting intimate?
Also, did you lose weight right after surgery and have you kept most of it off? Chemo made me gain weight (10 pounds) - I had a good appetite even though occassionally had an upset stomach, but not nauseous. Hoping to drop it!
