HELP! abnormalities in Bladder

The usual procedure is for the uro to do a cystoscopy (look at the bladder with a small ...very small...camera.) If it appears that there might be something there, you are then scheduled for a TURB (transurethral biopsy of the bladder) which is done under light general anesthesia. Samples are taken and sent to the pathology lab for analysis. Only after this is done do you have a really good idea of the diagnosis.

Usually biopsies are not taken without anesthesia...for obvious reasons!!!

You really won't know much until after the urologist looks at your bladder (cystoscopy is when he/she puts a tiny camera into the bladder and take a look.)
IF he finds what might be a tumor, he will probably schedule you for a TURB (trans uretral resection of the bladder) where you will be under light anesthesia and he will take biopsies of the suspicious areas. Only after the pathology report comes back will you know exactly what you are dealing with.

UTI symptoms are very common in women, as you know. I fought them for over a year before someone figured out that I did NOT have a UTI! Now 6 years out from my diagnosis and doing well.

Try (it is hard I know) to stay calm and wait for an exact diagnosis.
