Hi all! I am new to this forum, but not to bladder cancer. I will give you a little history and then ask my question. I was diagnosed at the age of 36 with stage 0/Ta BC in Oct 2001 with a small reoccurence in May 2002. Since then, all of my cystos have been clear.

A month ago I went to my GP with severe back pain. First thought was kidney stone especially since urinalysis showed blood in urine. Went for CT scan the next morning and found I actually had diverticulitis and was hospitalized for 4 days. The blood in the urine was never addressed after that and personally I had forgotten about it. On June 6th, I had my yearly appt with my URO for my cysto...all clear and of course, I neglected to mention the blood in the urine and the urinalysis that day did not show any blood. Today though I got home from work and had a message on my machine to call his office as soon as possible! Unfortunately the office was closed and here it is Friday so I have to wait until Monday to call! In 10 years of going to him, I have never had a call back after my appt so I am really worried what it might be.

My main question is, if the doctor sent the wash out for analysis, how long does it take to get results back??? I usually only get charged for a urinalysis and the cysto so I don't know if he even does any further testing. I am so worried that the cancer might be back. Waiting until Monday is going to drive me absolutely insane...I have no patience!! LOL

Thank you for any insight you can give me!!
