To follow up as promised, I got my first BCG injection. 5 more to go. After that, cytoscopy every 4 months. My tumors were high grade, just like the first time ten years ago. I hope to get a few more years without a relapse. Crossing my fingers.
Thank you for your replies. There were very helpful.

I got a message from my urologist today saying they had received their shipment of bcg, I am seeing him on Thursday. Things are looking up. Will keep you up to date.

At least here in the US we do not have a shortage now. My posting of the information about Sanofil was to note that it MAY happen next year after Sanofil quits making BCG. Have no idea what the situation might be in Thailand.

Were your tumors low grade or high grade? Particularly if they were low grade, a wait of a few months should not be critical. Has your doctor explained WHY the delay in receiving BCG? Shortage of supply? Shipping issues? You might check with a different urological practice just to see if they are having the same problem.

Hope you get this figured out!!

My treatment has not yet started because my urologist hasn't yet received his batch of BCG. My operation (removal of superficial non invasive tumors) took place a little over 3 months ago Sept. 1st). What are the risk of the cancer reappearing quickly?
