Thank you, George! I enjoy being here.

I go for my post-op on Tuesday with my urologist to discuss the diagnosis (cystitis cystica) and see where we go from here. My GP seems to think more scopes are in my future, as this is a potential cancer precursor.

Ironically, I developed a DVT blood clot in my IV arm about a week after my surgery. I say "ironically" because the tumor that necessitated the TURBT to begin with was benign, but the DVT is life-threatening! I blame the incompetent nurses who trashed the heck out of my vein trying (and repeatedly failing) to insert the thing. Fortunately, the DVT caused very painful symptoms, announcing its presence and sending me to my GP who ordered an ultrasound, before it broke off and became a pulmonary embolism. Now I'm on Xarelto for 6 months. Joy.

Love to all of you.

I think I successfully deleted the file.

I've actually since spoken to both my urologist assistant and my general practitioner and both say it's a growth representing cystitis cystica, a benign lesion caused by chronic inflammation and that mimics bladder cancer. I can't find a lot of info on it as it's pretty rare, but what I did find is that it can be a "precursor" to bladder cancer so I should get scoped regularly.

So while this sort of makes me not a member of this club at the moment, I plan to stick around because I do feel I have information/wisdom to offer newbies who are facing their first TURBT. I also will soon be much better informed (once I follow up with my surgeon on 8/9) about the benign "precursor" cystitis cystica--a condition that some future posters might have.

Besides, I've come to have great affection for all of you. Thank you.

I just received the path report from TURBT last week (that was fast!). Not sure what to make of it. No mentions of "grade" or "Ta" or "carcinoma" so I assume it's a benign finding? Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks. Report attached.
