Re:Wish Me Luck

Seeing blood after a TURBS isn\'t unusual. Even a small amount of blood will turn a large amount of urine red. Kind of like food coloring in water. If you exert yourself or strain a little you can get a scarred area to seep small amounts of blood. Witch cause large amounts of panic. Trust me I know of what you speak.

But keep an eye on it, and keep your Urologist posted as to any more occurrences.

Just a note: You should always be checking your urine and stools for blood. Sounds over the top but that is the easiest way to tell if something is up.

P.S. Don\'t hold a pee! Carry a Thunder Mug (Urine Collector)on the water.

Re:Wish Me Luck

It is normal but you should still let your urologist know. Always keep the doctor informed. :)

Re:Wish Me Luck

Every time I go in for my cystos (six-month schedule now), my uro/surgeon asks if there\'s been any blood and my reply is always, \"You\'d be the second one to know!\" So far I\'ve been fortunate that the answer is \"No\". Mike is right... they always want to know about that immediately if it happens.

Yours was probably just related to healing and shedding off old layers of tissue. But I know what you mean about that thinking and thinking and thinking! So glad you\'re feeling great overall and happy about your \"all clear\" signal!

Re:Wish Me Luck

Great. Thanks all. Obviously, my doctor\'s opinion is the most important, but it\'s just as important to me hearing from peers who have marched down this road prior.

I appreciate the quick response from all of you and wish you a great weekend.

Re:Wish Me Luck

Other than after my TURBT (for several days), I haven\'t seen blood except after BCG treatments and biops, but this site is great for keeping people knowledgable and aware of things that can happen - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!! :)
