My husband has been battling with bladder cancer for several years now. We go through the cycle of quarterly cystoscopy and, sometimes, resection. It seems he can\'t get beyond a year or so without a new tumor appearing. So far they are not very invasive, but with each new occurrence, he becomes...

My husband is scheduled for his first BCG treatment during the last week of November. I will of course be there with him that day, but will he need someone to accompany him and/or to drive him home after each treatment? Should someone be home on those days in case of side effects? I want to be...

I need my wife to drive me home after because I take pain meds an hour before the BCG and it\'s the doctors rules, I would much rather drive myself. One thing to ask is to have them give you any prescriptions you will need a couple days ahead of time.....there is nothing worse than having to go to...

I am very new to bladder cancer and the surgeries surrounding it. My fiancé is having his bladder removed. What is something I can give him during recovery that you or someone you know wished they had had? Open to your ideas!

Good Idea. Just let him know that there are lots of folks here who have experienced this surgery and understand his pain. As time goes by it becomes easier to understand the healing process and the medical appliances needed. We are here to make it easier. No question is to difficult. We want to...

I know about parents being private. They feel their private lives are \"State Secrets\" for God\'s sake! LOL But, cancer is a whole other story. When he goes to the Dr. alone, he is just as shocked and dismayed as anyone. He may forget a question or an option he needs to consider. As for the...

My 65 year old father was diagnosed about 4 1/2 years ago with stage 2 bladder cancer. they removed the bladder and put in an Indiana pouch. I have not had chemo. Your questions are all good ones. If you don\'t feel comfortable asking your parents maybe you could ask them if it\'s ok for you to talk to the doctor. Maybe something like \"Mom, dad, I\'m really worried and scared and have a million questions but I don\'t want to burden...
